As India is realising the need for planned urbanisation, the 100 smart cities have become the talk of the town.  The case of the metro cities is even complex as they are congested and occupied but not fully developed. In order to know how the land owners in R Zone and L Zone, developers, infrastructure providers and DDA will converge to deliver a workable solution under the land pooling policy to create the Smart Delhi, New India Initiative Foundation (NIIF) is organising a one-day conference on 'Land Pooling Policy' with the support of Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

The conference going to be held on December 13, 2014 at Le Méridien, New Delhi will educate the general public about the policy and addressing concerns of stakeholders. It aims to address issues associated with the land pooling policy of DDA and to interact with its farmers. The topic of the discussion is - Land Pooling Policy of Master Plan Delhi 2021: Vision for Smart Delhi.

The conference will also address the consumer queries, such as what does the ‘Land Pooling Policy’ means to a common man looking for a decent residential accommodation? Can he get a 3BHK flat in Delhi in Rs. 40-50 lakh? What will be the impact of policy on the real estate market in Delhi and NCR? How can I pool my land? What are the legal issues involved?

The conference will see speakers and participants from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), civic agencies, developers, investors, HNI, consulting organizations, NGOs, corporates and academia, dealing in housing and other infrastructures.
